Cyan Planet was invited to take part in the Venice Production Bridge 2019, which gave us the great opportunity to experience La Biennale di Venezia 76th edition in all its facets.
It was the first time at La Biennale di Venezia for us and it was overwhelming, especially with the possibility to join the gap financing market.
We pitched our VR game "How is the Water" at the production bridge, where we found an open and engaged industry. We were happy to discover this industry is turning its focus more and more to virtual reality and immersive media. On the VR island, we found a fantastic diversity of VR and AR experiences, with the VR society that works like one big family, and a cosy lounge with VR happy hour every day.
Between all the luxury that sometimes even made us feel uncomfortable, there were also many political projects tackling poverty, human rights and cultural differences. Experiencing these master pieces in VR left us grateful once more for the privileges we were born with.
Raising awareness of cultural and social issues is a central purpose of La Biennale di Venezia. We are happy that we were allowed to exhibit our passion and also bring environmental questions to this great festival. A big Thank you to all the interesting people we met for all the experiences and the knowledge we received - we hope that we can join again next year!
